Hello fellow CCA members;

 

This coming Saturday,  August 3rd,  from 10:00AM to 2:00PM, we will be hosting the club’s annual Corn Boil get-together.  Over the years, this is the one time where traditionally more members participate than at any other event and it’s no wonder – beautiful weather, lots of Model As, great fresh corn and hotdogs to chomp on, toe tapping music and the camaraderie of all the husbands and wives.  And we have a special guest who has come a very long way to attend the event,

 

Since Barb and Dave Welch are on a family reunion cruise in Europe, we will not be meeting at their farm as in the past.  Instead we will meet at the home of RuthAnn and Marc Groulx in Russel.  Marc, one of our active Directors, immediately stepped up and volunteered his home as soon as it became known that the Welches would be away.  Thank you so much Marc!

 

The exact address is  105 Des Pins St. in Russell.  The link below is to the Google Map display of the location on a street map.    There is lots of parking on the front lawn for all the Model As and any other antiques that show up.  There is even space in the long driveway for those who might need easier mobility and a gate on either side of the house to access the HUGE back yard where all the activities will all take place.

 

I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.  I ask a small favour to ask of you all.  If you know of a member who can’t drive or who needs assistance, give them a call and offer them a lift.  The spirit of our club is always such a special aspect of our members.

 

So pack up your Model A or your modern car and head out to Russell on Saturday.  I guarantee that you’ll have great time.
